The moment the month has an R in it again, the oysters and mussels take centre stage. September opens oyster season, and at BISOUS on Albert Cuypstraat that is when the Zeeland soul of our kitchen speaks loudest: French at heart, with a Flemish accent and the North Sea as our pantry.

Oysters and mussels, the Zeeland-French way
On the menu you’ll find Irish Mor No. 4 oysters: full, briny and creamy, served the classic way with mignonette and lemon. And since the R months are mussel months too, now is the time for our Moules Bisous, a classic made for sharing. After that, signatures such as shrimp croquettes and the King Crab tortilla await. Going all out? Add caviar from House of Caviar. Chef Thomas Kooijman cooks with whatever the sea and the season bring, and you taste it in every course.
New on the menu: Menu Dégustation du Chef
Can’t choose? Order the Menu Dégustation du Chef: nine signature dishes to share, €125 for two. It’s available until 8 pm, perfect if you like to start early and let the evening unfold. See the full dinner menu.

Bordeaux Wednesday
Wednesday at BISOUS belongs to Bordeaux. Our sommelier Erwin opens bottles you rarely find by the glass, so you can taste the great names without committing to a whole bottle. Ask him which glass suits your oysters, the tournedos au poivre or a classic dame blanche. Explore our kitchen and wine list.

Late nights in De Pijp
BISOUS is open Wednesday to Saturday from 4 pm: until 1 am on Wednesday and Thursday, until 2 am on Friday and Saturday. You’ll find us just around the corner from the Albert Cuyp Market. Jean-Philippe Demeyer’s interior, all red lacquer and a nod to Saint-Tropez, has a way of making dinner last a little longer. Dress code: Parisian Chic. Address and opening hours.
